3) Determine the viscosity of the base oil. The viscosity of the base oil determines the fluidity of the base oil. The higher the viscosity of the base oil, the thicker the base oil. In order to form an elastic hydrodynamic lubricating film, the bearing metal parts are separated from each other, and a base oil of a suitable viscosity must be selected for a specific working condition. The viscosity of the base oil determined should match the viscosity of the grease selected.
