Ma Jianming: In 2014, there will be 870 million tons of iron ore production capacity worldwide Ma Jianming, a researcher at the Information Center of the Ministry of Land and Resources, believes that from 2011 to 2014, 870 million tons of iron ore production capacity will be put into operation globally.

Ma Jianming analyzed that more than 80% of the new iron ore production capacity in the world comes from Australia, Brazil and India. In the future, 49% of the global new iron ore production capacity will come from Australia, Brazil 28%, India 6%, Canada 4%, China, South Africa, Chile, Ukraine and Guinea each 2%, Russia and Kazakhstan each 1%.
